The 1988 Bathurst 1000 was a memorable race for many reasons. Not least was the outstanding performance of Klaus Niedzwiedz to put the ANZ Sierra on top in the Tooheys Dozen run off, ahead of the favourite and eventual racer winner Tony Longhurst.
